Here are 10 reasons to buy the iPad

1. The iPad is very intuitive. You may have seen the advert on TV that says “you know how to use it before you have even picked it up” or something along those lines. This is completely true, it is amazingly easy to use because of its touch screen interface.

2. It has thousands of unique apps, so in my opinion it is better than the iPod touch. A very popular app is a newspaper app.This means you can get your paper without getting out of bed!

3. You can play all your iPod touch and iPhone apps on a bigger screen. The iPad can enlarge the normal apps so you can play them on its much larger screen. There are also many free apps which are great fun.

4. Very good for watching movies on and online TV because of its large screen it is like watching it on a real TV instead of a tiny 3 inch screen.

5. There are thousands of books to read. These are known as iBooks.

6. You can get an external keyboard to type faster and make it like a normal computer.

7. This may sound a little silly but it actually makes browsing the web more enjoyable, you will understand if you try it out.

8. Another amazing feature of the iPad is you can use it as satellite navigation.

9. The iPad is very thin and very light, it weighs o.68 kg which is very light and makes it easy to hold for a long time, ideal for reading books. It is also only 13.4mm thick. That is not much fatter than most phones!

10. The iPad has iTunes so you can listen to all your favorite music on its great speakers.

After the hype has been fading, many start to wonder about the actual possibilities that iPad offers in comparison to its predecessors. Let me spare the commercials: it’s time to look more closely at the details.

Steve Jobs emphasized the use of iPad to read books, news and magazines, but an LCD screen can’t really compete with e-ink technology. Apple went as far as to sign contracts with the most prestigious news companies in the US, such as the New York Times and many others. However, the ePub format chosen to be, is not exactly as portable and popular as PDF or Doc. Another aspect related to written text is the virtual keyboard.
